At the rejection-letter-amnesty event at 42 New Briggate Gallery in July 2008 I asked the public to share their own rejections with me. I was totally overwhelmed with their honesty and humour. For months now I have been deliberating as to how to develop this material. I think the best way for me to do it justice is to share it with everyone and continue the process of pouring out of disappointment and anger at being rejected so that others may be soothed by knowing that they are not alone in their misery.
Please use this blog to share your own experience of rejection in response to those you see here. Thank you for your time and remember to do better next time ;-)
